The Team
Natasha Mars

Chief Coordinator
Born in Slovenia, Natasha has lived in Tenerife for almost two decades and has developed a strong connection with the island, its culture, people, and international environment.
With a background in economics, psychology, tourism, entrepreneurship, and many years of experience in administration within the tourism sector, Natasha brings together practical knowledge and an international perspective. Fluent in Slovenian, Spanish, English and Dutch, she feels at home in multilingual and multicultural settings.
Her work with Educanary brings together her professional experience, international background, local knowledge, and deep personal connection with Tenerife.
Through this combination, she aims to support meaningful, well-organised Erasmus+ mobility experiences that are practical, personal, and connected to the local environment.
Punosevac Ognjenka

Experiences Coordinator
Originally from Serbia, Ognjenka built a long-standing career in the economic and banking sectors before redirecting her professional path towards sustainable development. In Croatia, she worked with international volunteers on ecological projects focused on organic production and permaculture. As a vegan chef, she combines environmental awareness with creativity and a strong passion for food.
Now based in Tenerife, Ognjenka brings together her business and organisational experience with her interests in gastronomy, creative expression, and Canarian culture. Having successfully integrated into Spanish society, she understands both the excitement and the challenges of adapting to a new country and culture.
Within the EduCanary Erasmus+ team, Ognjenka coordinates the Serbian and Croatian markets and supports participants throughout their mobility. She will spend most of the programme by their side, helping them overcome language and cultural barriers and experience Tenerife in a meaningful and memorable way.
Simona Zalar

Experiences Coordinator
Curious by nature, Simona has always been drawn to exploring landscapes, uncovering hidden details, and understanding the stories behind the places she visits. Tenerife captivated her with its volcanic scenery, remarkable diversity, and lesser-known corners. Over time, she developed a deep interest in the island’s history, geology, plant life, and local culture.
Highly active, positive, and exceptionally well organised, she has successfully led her own company throughout her professional life. She now divides her time between Slovenia and Tenerife, while increasingly realising that her heart belongs to the island. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and her energetic personality rarely leaves anyone indifferent.
Within EduCanary, she leads hikes and guided experiences through some of Tenerife’s most beautiful, authentic, and lesser-known places, helping Erasmus+ participants discover the island beyond its usual tourist attractions. Through her knowledge, enthusiasm, and personal approach, she brings the island’s landscapes and stories to life. For small groups, she can also assist with accommodation in stylish apartments.
